Bástya Wellness Hotel – History and developement
The Bástya Wellness Hotel is a family-owned business built on the site of a former milk bar, which opened its doors in 1991 under the name Bástya Panzió, with just 6 rooms. Over the years, it has undergone continuous developments and, in 2003, expanded with a wellness section and 18 rooms, achieving a 3-star rating and starting to organize conferences.
Development and Expansion
Having successfully weathered the significant economic crisis of 2007-08, Bástya Wellness Hotel took a major step forward with the opening of its 4-star wing in 2011. This expansion was designed to cater to a growing clientele and enhance the hotel’s offerings.
4-Star Wing: The new wing is capable of accommodating up to 300 guests, making it an ideal location for larger events. It features the flexibility to be divided into three separate sections, each capable of hosting 70 individuals. This versatility allows the hotel to cater to a variety of events, from conferences to banquets.
Multiple Conference Venues: With the addition of the 4-star wing, Bástya Wellness Hotel now boasts four distinct venues for hosting conferences and events. This not only increases the hotel’s capacity but also enhances its appeal to corporate clients seeking a comprehensive service offering in one location.

Bástya Wellness Hotel boasts a remarkably advantageous location, situated just a 1.5-minute walk from the renowned Miskolctapolca Cave Bath and Strand Bath.
